Certainly sometimes watching a movie or playing a video game can feel like stepping into another world, where the impossible is possible and the unreal looks only too real. With the advent of computer animation, movie and video game special effects are becoming more and more believable, and more and more spectacular; let’s take a look at just how the professional animation teams behind the magic create the visuals that bedazzle us all.

Dragons Hand Kings 2nd Loss

The Kings of the Omega League continued their early season struggles, falling to the Dragons during league play on Sunday night. The loss for the Kings severely damages their post season chances as they now sit in last place, along with the winless Eagles with 2 losses to begin the season. The victory for the Dragons bolsters their post season hopes, placing them just one game behind the division leading Giants.

Monday’s ADA schedule features some inter-league action as the Kings of the Omega League square off against the Cardinals of the Alpha League. Currently, both teams are searching for their first wins of the year, combining for 3 ugly losses to begin the season. It’s a must win for one of these teams if they hope to have any shot at making the playoffs, and earning a shot at the $15,000 ADA Grand Prize.

The Kings will be competing with an animation titled “Astro Funky Band”. Will it have what it takes to defeat the Cardinals and their “Breaklicious” submission? Fans, we need your votes to decide a winner!

Eagles Drop 2nd Straight Game

The Eagles got off to the start they desperately wanted to avoid, losing their second straight game to start the young ADA season. The Giants meanwhile, picked up their second win of the season, matching the total posted by the Spartans of the Alpha League with their victory on Wednesday night. The Giants did their damage with the “Cookie Nightmare” animation which chomped the competition. The Eagles on the other hand continued to struggle with their After-tar submission. Guys, it’s time to retire that one and move on.

Thursday’s ADA action features an epic clash between two of the ADA’s toughest squads, the Alpha League’s Cowboys and Crocodiles. This match is the first of the season for the Cowboys, who will be competing with the “Milkshake” animation. The Crocodiles meanwhile, who lost their opening match and cannot afford another early season loss will be battling again with the “Naughty Cat” animation. It’s a must win for both teams, but only one can win.

Spartans Win Back-to-Back Games

ADA Season 3 has gotten off to a fast and furious start. The action has been amazing and the team with the earliest advantage has got to be the Spartans of the Alpha League. Vince Allen and company put on another impressive display Tuesday night as their “Bush vs. Obama” animation took care of business for the second straight game. Taking the loss were the Crocodiles who will now have to regroup before their next game, which begins Wednesday night against the Cowboys.

So the Spartans hold a 2 win lead over the rest of the Alpha League, while the teams of the Omega League prepare for their season debuts. The Eagles being the lone Omega League team with game experience; a opening night loss to the Spartans.

In today’s action, it’s those same Eagles battling again with their “After-tar” animation. It faces a stiff offering from the Giants, who are making their season debut with “The Cookie Nightmare”. The Eagles desperately need this win as they cannot afford to start the season with two losses. It’s the Eagles and the Giants and it starts right now!
